Audi A3 1.8T
APR's EMCS software is available for the 150 horsepower (112Kw) A3 and the later VVT (Variable Valve Timing) cars. The software for the A3 is available in a 1.0 bar configuration and 196 horsepower (146Kw) and 240 ft. lbs (325Nm) of torque. On the later VVT motor, which also as a different turbocharger specification, the horsepower gains are increased to around 207 horsepower (154Kw) but with same torque. Our software is designed to operate within the turbochargers' efficiency range whilst producing huge increase in low end torque, improved throttle response and a much smoother, more powerful top end. Unlike other "chip tuning companies", we do not max out the boost pressure sensor in order to boost spike and give high initial torque readings. Although this maybe good for marketing purposes, it not only creates surge during acceleration at low RPM, but also reduces the life expectancy of the turbocharger considerably.


The EMCS is operated via a pushbutton that can be installed anywhere in the car and uses the engine check light on the instrument cluster to identify program changes.
All APR chip upgrades use encryption, which serve several purposes. First, it keeps prying eyes out of our software and prevents lesser companies from copying the chip and degrading the product. Secondly, the encryption prevents the dealer from flash programming the ECU. Also, all APR software is undetectable to a dealers VAG diagnostic tool.

The APR RS6 upgraded chip comes EMCS equipped (Enhanced Modular Chipping System). The "extra steps" don't stop with the software development process. Our chipping hardware development far surpasses anything else offered by any tuner in any market anywhere in the world. We have left the traditional method of re-flashing a chip in the 90's and have moved on to the next generation of chip tuning. No longer are you limited to replacing one program with another program. With our EMCS, you can replace one program with four programs and several ECU features.
